COVID-19 Update
New screening measures implemented to fight COVID-19
The health and safety of Abrigo clients, staff, volunteers and student placement workers is of the utmost importance to us. As such Abrigo has proactively instituted a new passive screening process to potentially identify and help stop the spread of COVID-19 or the coronavirus.
Screening of all clients will begin on Monday, March 16. A simple series of three questions will help identify possible COVID-19 patients.
We encourage any client who is feeling ill or has a cough, cold, fever, trouble breathing, aches and pains or diarrhea to stay home and contact their family physician, local Public Health unit or Telehealth Ontario.
If you are in one of Abrigo parenting groups, the PAR group, or Women’s group for example and you are not feeling well, please call to let us know of your absence and stay home.
Stay healthy by washing your hands regularly, avoid touching your face, avoid others who are ill, cough or sneeze into your sleeve or “elbow pocket”, clean and disinfect hard surfaces and devices regularly, and practice social distancing by not attending large events. Please stay healthy everyone, thank you for your assistance.
