Abrigo Celebrates International Women’s Day

Casa do Alentejo is the Site for this Year’s Event on Thursday, March 8th

The Abrigo Centre will host its largest ever International Women’s Day celebration on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Case do Alentejo Community Centre in Toronto. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This will be the first time that Abrigo has celebrated this annual worldwide event outside its own walls.

The day will raise awareness, inspire and educate women on relevant social, financial and wellness issues while also providing an entertaining experience. We have assembled a stimulating line-up of guest speakers that will energize and empower individuals to learn, grow, change behaviors or change our community.

All programming will done in Portuguese.

The Abrigo Centre has been a cornerstone of social support for the west-end Toronto community for the last 28 years. With a solid base of clients and supporters, Abrigo will extend its reach to invite members of other community organizations and clubs to attend the event. We anticipate that at approximately 200 women from our community will enjoy the experience in friendly, comfortable setting.
