Abrigo’s Annual General Meeting is Sept. 28th

Abrigo’s AGM is set for Thursday, Sept. 28th at Casa do Alentejo

Preparations are now well underway for Abrigo’s 2017 Annual General Meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Casa do Alentejo, 1130 Dupont Street, Toronto.

To kick the evening off a Reception will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. Lights refreshments will be served. At 6:00 p.m. the business portion of the event will begin. Among the items, the financial statement for the year ending March 31, 2017 will be reviewed, the report of the Chairperson delivered and there will be the election and confirmation of new members of the Board of Directors.

Following will be a special presentation by the The Portuguese-Speaking Advisory Committee who works with the trustees and staff of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) to advance equitable education practices that are responsive to the diverse needs of Portuguese-speaking students or students of Portuguese-speaking ancestry.

Comprised of parents, students and members of the community, the group works to foster greater student achievement and success. This presentation will highlight progress since forming in 2012 and new initiatives for 2017-18.
