Abrigo Seniors Connect with Computers

I’m not a teacher but every Tuesday morning I share my knowledge and experience to help educate others. Each day comes with a sense of satisfaction knowing that my commitment is making a difference for our community.

I am an Abrigo volunteer and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I help other seniors in our Life and Hope group learn about computers. I assist my peers with basic computer skills, surf applications like Google or social media programs like Facebook and YouTube.

We are thankful for the computers we have but they are aging and slow compared to today’s machines. In addition, some have small monitors that pose a problem for those with diminished eyesight.

Abrigo needs an infusion of new, modern technology and I am asking for your help today, on Giving Tuesday.

Abrigo needs five (5) new PCs and monitors to replace the existing outdated equipment. The cost for each is approximately $1,000. Your gift of $25, $50 or $100 will go directly to help purchase a new computer that will enrich the life of a senior in this vital Abrigo program.
