Abrigo’s Open House a rousing success!

The Abrigo Centre hosted an Open House on Saturday, June 20 as part of our Silver Anniversary year celebrations. Approximately 200 local residents, clients and colleagues from other social service agencies dropped by to enjoy the food, entertainment and information provided.

Our thanks go out to The Samba Squad and Drumartz who performed for us from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Andrew Cash, MP, Davenport and Matthew Correia, assistant to Davenport MPP Cristina Martins for helping to make it a memorable event.

Special thank you to our sponsors for the afternoon. Johnny and Christina Mizzoni, owners of the Tim Hortons at St. Clair and Dufferin and Ann and Ferd Schroeder, owners of the McDonald’s at St. Clair and Dufferin for providing the food and refreshments for the afternoon. Thank you all for your generous support!

Most importantly, guests learned more about the variety of programs and services that have been a cornerstone of resources for Toronto’s west-end community for the last 25 years. Abrigo Centre assists 6,000 clients each year.
