Abrigo Surpasses Annual United Way Campaign Goal!

Yard Sale and Staff Support Secure Success

For the fourth consecutive year, the Abrigo Centre surpassed its annual United Way Campaign goal. Together, staff members, volunteers, clients and community members raised a new record total of $6,073.

In addition to the funds raised by staff members donating to the United Way through payroll deduction, monthly giving or one-time gifts, the focal point again this year was the massive four-day Yard Sale that feature a wide variety of children’s and adult clothes, household items and toys. In total, $1,609 was raised by this event. Our thanks to all the donors of the items for sale and to everyone in the community for stopping by and doing some shopping to support the cause.

The Abrigo Centre is proud to be one of 62 Anchor Agencies of the United Way Greater Toronto. Each year Abrigo shows its #LocalLove by giving back to the agency that gives to Abrigo. The United Way is one of Abrigo Centre’s primary funders. Last fiscal year the United Way provided over $281,000 to Abrigo. Thank you!
