Abrigo one of three charities to receive generous gift

The Abrigo Centre was honored to receive a $25,000 donation from the Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame (PCWOF) on Saturday, June 9th following their annual induction ceremony at Camoes Square.

PCWOF Committee Chairman Mr. Manuel DaCosta presented the cheque to Abrigo Centre’s Executive Director Ed Graca at the Mod Club during the post-induction ceremony gala. Also on hand to receive donations were the Luso Canadian Charitable Society and Famous People Players.

Abrigo extends its sincere thanks to Mr. DaCosta and all the other members of the PCWOF Committee for their belief in the work Abrigo does daily to assist more than 6,500 women, men and children in our community every year.
