Give the Gift of Safety on Giving Tuesday

Give the Gift of Safety on Giving Tuesday

December means seasonal festivities are here, however for women and children living with domestic violence, being home for the holidays is not always safe. It’s crucial to raise awareness about the potential increase in Intimate Partner Violence during this time of the year.

For many of us, the pressure of holiday spending, family expectations, and trying to create a picture-perfect holiday atmosphere can lead to frustration and conflict. It’s important that we stay aware of these risks and offer help to those who may be struggling.

Abrigo works tirelessly to support women and their children facing abuse. Creating a comprehensive and individualized safety plan for women in our Gender-based Violence (GBV) program is a core part of our service for the 500 hundred clients we see on a yearly basis. It’s an essential service to help keep women and children safe, supported and empowered.

When you support the Abrigo Centre, you are helping women in our GBV program not only develop meaningful and comprehensive safety plans, you are also supporting women in exploring their rights and options, you are contributing to their access to vital services and contributing to their emotional well-being.

Today is Giving Tuesday, your opportunity to support women living with gender-based violence.

Donate Now

Whatever your motive is for giving – your personal experience with abuse or that of your family, friends or a co-worker – please know that every gift makes a difference for someone in need.

We all have a reason for supporting Abrigo and the holiday season is the best time to turn it into action. Make your Giving Tuesday gift today to support better outcomes for women facing gender-based violence. Remember, every donation, including a monthly donation, makes a positive impact on someone’s wellbeing.

Thank you for your support and for helping us build a future where no woman is left isolated and alone.

Sincerely,

Luciana Pache de Faria
