Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame donates to Abrigo

Donation of $15,000 will support Abrigo’s programs and services

For the second consecutive year, the Portuguese Canadian Walk of Fame (PCWOF) Committee chose the Abrigo Centre as one of the benefiting charities from the funds raised at its annual gala, held this year on the last Saturday of May.

Recently, a cheque presentation ceremony was held at Camoes Square in downtown Toronto and PCWOF Chair Mr. Manuel DaCosta presented Abrigo Executive Director Ed Graca with a cheque totaling $15,000. Also on hand for the event were a number of Abrigo clients who will benefit from the committee’s generosity.
