Join us at The Grand Parade 2025
On Saturday, September 20th the Abrigo Centre has something to celebrate – and so could you!
That’s the day when thousands of people across our city and Canada participate in The Grand Parade, a family-friendly fundraising walk supporting charities who provide care and services for aging Canadians. Our home base for this event is Loretto College School located in the beautiful Corso Italia neighborhood and start time is 10:00 a.m.
Canada’s seniors are an exceptional bunch. We see that every day in our wonderful Life and Hope (Grupo Vida e Esperança) seniors’ program. Now a core Abrigo fundraising event, this annual walk will celebrate the 120 remarkable people: our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbours in the program.
Exceptional individuals deserve outstanding support. Last year at our inaugural Grand Parade event, 40 walkers raised a total of $7,700 for the Life and Hope program. This year our goal is to raise $20,000 for our seniors and we can’t reach that total without your generous financial support!
Here’s how you can help:
- Participate: Registering as a walker, recruit a team, and fundraise for the event.
- Donate: You can donate to the Life and Hope team, or the team of your choice, safely and securely on Abrigo’s page on the Grand Parade website.
- Sponsor: Are you a local business owner who wants to make a difference for our community? Please consider sponsoring our event. Sponsorship levels start at an investment of $500.
